1. Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to the Zonely mobile application (com.rbsoft.zonely), developed by RB Soft Studio, based in Quebec, Canada.
2. Data Handling & 100% Local Operation
We do not collect, transmit to any server, or sell any personal data.
- Incoming Phone Numbers: When a call arrives, Android queries Zonely's local
CallScreeningServiceto check whether the country or area code matches your allowed list. - Blocked Calls Log: Intercepted numbers and timestamps are stored strictly in local device storage so you can review them inside the app.
- Zero Ads / Zero Trackers: No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs are included.
3. Android Permissions
Call Screening Service (android.telecom.CallScreeningService)
Required to inspect the country/area prefix of incoming calls and block calls originating from unauthorized regions.
Read Contacts — Optional (android.permission.READ_CONTACTS)
Requested only if you explicitly enable the "Allow my contacts" toggle. It is used solely on-device to verify if an incoming caller is in your address book so their call is never blocked. Your contacts are never copied or transmitted anywhere.
No Internet Permission
The production release of Zonely does not request android.permission.INTERNET, making it technically impossible for the app to send data outside your phone.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
You can clear your blocked calls history or modify your allowed zones anytime inside the app. Uninstalling Zonely permanently deletes all local data.
