Parole operates entirely on-device using local AI models (Whisper). Zero audio, voice data, or transcriptions ever leave your device. The application does not even declare internet access permissions.

1. Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to the Parole mobile application, designed and developed by RB Soft Studio ("we", "us", "our"), based in Quebec, Canada. We strictly adhere to privacy laws, including the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement & User Data Policies, Quebec Law 25, Canada's PIPEDA, and the GDPR.
2. Data Collection and Usage
We do not collect, transmit, store on servers, or sell ANY user personal data.
- Audio & Voice Data: When you record a voice session, audio is streamed directly to the on-device native Whisper model running on your phone's processor. As soon as transcription completes, the audio buffer is cleared from memory. No audio files are saved, transmitted to any server, or shared.
- Transcribed Text: Transcriptions are stored exclusively inside your phone's local SQLite database. You retain full control over your notes and can export, copy, or delete them anytime.
- Analytics & Tracking: No third-party SDKs, no trackers, and no ad libraries (e.g., Google Firebase, Analytics, or Facebook SDK) are used.
3. Device Permissions
Microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO)
Required solely to capture your spoken voice during active dictation. Recording is triggered only when you explicitly press the microphone button and ceases immediately when stopped. There is no passive background listening.
No Internet Permission Required (android.permission.INTERNET is absent)
Parole deliberately does not declare internet connectivity permissions in its Android Manifest. It is technically impossible for the app to send data out to the internet.
4. Third-Party Sharing
We do not share, sell, or rent any personal information with third parties. Everything stays completely isolated within your device.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
All stored notes exist only in local device storage. Uninstalling the app or clearing app storage in Android settings permanently deletes all stored transcriptions.
6. Children's Privacy
Because Parole collects no personal data whatsoever, it is inherently safe and adheres to applicable children's privacy regulations (including COPPA and GDPR-K).
