Growy
Android Application · Package: com.rbsoft.growy
1. Important Medical Disclaimer
The Growy application (com.rbsoft.growy) is an informational and personal tracking tool designed for parents and caregivers. Growy is developed independently by RB Soft Studio and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any health organization or government agency.
IMPORTANT: This application is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The curves and values shown are for information only. Always consult a pediatrician, family physician, or qualified healthcare professional about your child's growth and health.
Privacy & Data Protection: On Your Device + Your Own Google Backup
Growy stores your data on your device, and Android automatically backs it up, encrypted, to your own Google account (on Google's servers) so it can be restored on a new phone. RB Soft Studio never receives this data and cannot access it. The data is only growth measurements (weight, height, head circumference, foot length) and your child's profile information. No account, no server of ours, no ads, no trackers.

2. Data Storage & Zero Collection by the Developer
- Where Your Data Is Stored: Your data (profiles with name or initials, birth date, sex and prematurity weeks; weight, height, head circumference, foot length / shoe size (US, UK, EU); the BMI computed from weight and height; personal notes; and app settings) is stored on your device in a SQLite database (
baby_growth.db) and automatically backed up by Android, encrypted, to your own Google account (Google's servers) — see section 3. RB Soft Studio never receives or can access this data. - No Remote Servers: RB Soft Studio operates no server for Growy and the app never sends your data to us or to any third party. The application does not request network access permission (
android.permission.INTERNET). - No Account Required: The app works out of the box with no sign-up, no login, and no collection of emails or identifiers.
- Zero Trackers & No Ads: The application contains no advertising SDKs, no behavioral trackers, and no analytics or crash-reporting tools, and displays no ads.
- Data Ownership & Portability (CSV): You retain full ownership of your data. Export and import are started only by you: you can export your measurement history as an open CSV file, which Android's share sheet sends to the destination you choose (email, cloud storage, files…), or import an existing CSV file. Once shared, the file is handled by the app or service you selected.
3. Android Auto Backup (Your Google Account)
Growy supports Android's built-in Auto Backup. If backup is turned on for your device, Android may automatically back up the app's database to your own Google account (Google Drive), and restore it when you reinstall Growy or set up a new device.
This backup is performed by Android and Google, not by RB Soft Studio. It is encrypted by Android, it does not count toward your Drive storage, and RB Soft Studio has no access to it. It is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
You can turn it off at any time in your device settings (Settings > Google > Backup; the exact path may vary by device).
4. Data Deletion
- Deleting a measurement or a child profile in the app immediately and permanently removes the corresponding records from the local database (the next Android backup then reflects the change).
- Uninstalling Growy deletes all of its data from your device.
- To also delete the copy kept by Android Auto Backup, delete the Growy backup from your Google account (Google Drive app > Backups, or your device's backup settings), or turn off backup before uninstalling.
5. Children's Privacy
Growy is intended to be used by parents and caregivers to record their children's growth. RB Soft Studio does not collect, receive, store or share any personal information about children or adults through the app.
6. Growth References
Percentile curves for weight, height, head circumference and BMI are calculated on the device from publicly available international pediatric growth reference data, using the LMS statistical method (Cole & Green). Foot length / shoe size estimates (0–12 years) are based on published pediatric anthropometric data. These references are provided for information only.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
